Search bug ? - flu - 2009-03-27 zenphoto version 1.2.3 [3696 Hi, I just realized that when I perform a "free" search (with a word not a tag) from a page I got after having clicked on a tag, an image which is usually found is not found anymore. Any idea ? Search bug ? - sbillard - 2009-03-27 I am not seeing this. Be sure that 'Tags' are one of the fields in the "free" search. If they are not selected, tags will not be part of the search. Search bug ? - flu - 2009-03-27 Ok, Stephen, I'm not clear... The image title is : "Beschuit met muisjes" ok ? You see what I mean ? I can't reproduce that on another site of the showcase section which doesn't use the clean URLS. What do you think about it ? Search bug ? - acrylian - 2009-03-27 That site is actually not a good example because it uses still 1.2.2... Search bug ? - flu - 2009-03-27 Well I use the last nightly build but I got the same problem... even if I use the default theme. Search bug ? - flu - 2009-03-27 Same thing here, using zenphoto version 1.2.3 [3427] : Search bug ? - sbillard - 2009-03-27 Well, of course, your first link is to the 1.2.2 site. The second link is to build 3427 whereas the current nightly build is 3696 Additionally, from the second site there is no way for me to see what tags are supposed to be present. I cannot reproduce the problem with the nightly build on my site. I suggest you enable the tag suggest plugin. Be sure that the text you are searching for exists in the list that plugin produces. Search bug ? - flu - 2009-03-28 Ok, about the second site, let's try again : I can reproduce this problem with Zenphoto version 1.2.3 [3696] with multilingual plugin on and clean url on. Don't you ? Thank you for your time. Search bug ? - sbillard - 2009-03-29 Is 'Bâteau à marée basse' a tag? it is not showing up in your tag cloud. Search bug ? - flu - 2009-03-29 Hi Stephen, In this example, after a tag search with the tag "Bretagne" you get this page : Search bug ? - acrylian - 2009-03-29 Is this actually your site? I did look into the source code and I see these fields enabled for search: Search bug ? - flu - 2009-03-29 Hi Malte, On my website I get this problem with this code : Search bug ? - acrylian - 2009-03-29 I just tried on my local test gallery and have virutally all fields enabled and I can search for a title without any problem (even of mulitple words like the "bretagne" example abobe). Not sure why that would be different here. Search bug ? - flu - 2009-03-29 Well, of course I trust you Malte but are the friendly url plugin on ? Here is another example using zenphoto version 1.2.3 [3427] (Official Build) : The code is : 1.Let's try on the index page to perform this search "The Fremont Street Experience" which is a part of a title of an existing image : 1 image is found, ok ? 2.Then let's go to the gallery archive : 3.Then try to perform a search with these words "The Fremont Street Experience" using the search field on this page : You see what I mean ? Search bug ? - sbillard - 2009-03-29 Well, that would be because on this page only the tag field is enabled. Search bug ? - flu - 2009-03-30 Hi Stephen, I don't really understand what you mean. Another example : On your website I can't see what search fields are enabled, but if you go to your archive page : The title of the first image in this album is "a lashmore". As I'm not sure of your settings, maybe my post is irrelevant (in this case, I'm really sorry), but I have the same problem with zenphoto version 1.2.3 [3696] even if the title is set as a search field. Thank you for your time anyway. Search bug ? - sbillard - 2009-03-30 But you did not do a free search from that page--you did a tag search as evidenced by the selected fields. This is because the search fields are presumed from the previous search which in your case was a tag search. You can select other fields from the field selector if you want to broaden your search. Search bug ? - flu - 2009-03-30 Excuse my english but, first I perform a tag search : clocks then from this page I perform a "free" search (not a tag one) : lashmore Right ? Is it not a kind of "bug" ? Search bug ? - sbillard - 2009-03-30 No, not a bug. Search context is preserved. If you wish your search page to clear the context then you need have Search bug ? - flu - 2009-03-30 Well, Thank you Stephen. It seems a little bit weird to me. Actually I don't really know where to put |
