Mixed access albums? - winddancer - 2013-04-15 Hi all, I am just migrating from gallery 3 and as such I am having some questions concerning how Zenphoto is working. Unfortunately I can't tell from the user guide section. So here is what I want to do: So I installed the user_groups and user_login-out plugins. I created a new user group with access to all images and their original size. However I fail to find an option to set correct access rights to each album. eg. I have 3 albums: Album 01 is public: it should be accessible by everyone. Including the original sized images. Album 02 is public, but the original sized images should be restricted to user group "press". Album 03 is protected: it is not displayed on the index page as long as you haven't logged in with a valid user that has access rights to this album. Is this configuration possible with zenphoto? thanks a lot in advance. Sven Mixed access albums? - sbillard - 2013-04-15 You will have to password protect any album you want not to be public. You will need to password protect the "full image" view. Album 3 should be un-published so it will not show on the index page except to appropriate users. The user group "press" should have "view full image" rights. Album 3 must be in the managed albums list for any user (group) you wish to be able to see the album. This is a "drawback" and on purpose and the reason is that Zenphoto's albums are primarily filesystem based. We rejected rights to subalbums because this would cause severe overhead and therefore performance issues. |
