Bizarre period Safari album issue - kocho - 2014-03-31

Hi all,

I was running 1.4.5.2 and I noticed that a couple of my albums which have a period "." in the album name weren't working as expected. The album shows as it being there, but the images themselves will not load. However, others which also have a period do work.

For example:

gallery/album/X.1 = photos dont display.
gallery/album/X-1 = photos do display.

but then I might have an existing album, for example:
gallery/album/X.12 = photos do display.

I use period is basically every album I make. So, its definitely something that if it goes wrong, creates a problem.

So, I tried to solve the problem by doing the usual - refreshing the database, create a new album and test, make sure the images weren't corrupt or anything. None of that worked, so I thought I'd update to the latest build, which I just did.

It's still not working even with the latest build, but I didn't think that would solve the problem.

I really have no idea as to why its happening just on Safari and just in a couple of albums / new albums which I upload to this certain directory.

Any ideas?

Using Safari 6.1.2 I can neither reproduce it on my local install nor my live server using the 1.4.6 beta. It might be a browser bug (you didn't say which Safari version) or related to your server. I can only suggest to use divis or underscores instead.

No stress acrylian. It is Safari Version 6.1.2 (8537.74.9).

I'll just go with divis or underscores instead (can't be bothered trying to fix it).

Same version I am using… So I doubt it is the browser but the server maybe.
