Hello everyone, I am having a bunch of problems with Zen Photo processing vertical images from my Nikon DSLR and Samsung Galaxy phone.

The images show up as an error with no thumbnails, and when you click on the image, it just shows the image not exist message.

I am on the latest version of ZenPhoto. Is there something that I am missing?

There is for sure an error in the server logs. Most certainly you have uploade bigger images (dimensions, not file size) for your server to process either the cropp and/or possibly rotating: http://www.zenphoto.org/news/problems-with-albums-and-images#thumbnailssized-images-are-not-generated-andor-the

My PHP file is all well in terms of memory. I upload images directly by placing images in the 'albums' folder anyways.

I tried running an new instance of ZenPhoto and see the same problem. I tried the Piwigo gallery, and it's the same problem!

I opened & resaved my photos in Photoshop, and this resolved the problem.

Very odd since the problem is visible in pictures taken both from my Nikon DSLR & S6. So I am not sure exactly why, but without resaving the images, vertical images just don't work!

Sorry, I have no idea if there are no proper errors besides the mentioned. If resaving fixes it it could be corrupt metadata but then why only vertical images.

I have the same issue. You either have to leave the image sideways or use an external program like Photoshop to rotate it and resave. Then you can upload and it will work.

It is most likely the issue pointed out in the link I posted above.
