Help, locked out of Admin page - sbillard - 2007-05-31 I am trying to upgrade from 1.0.2b to 1.0.8.2. I followed the directions to the best of my ability. However, I cannot get to the Admin page now. The album seems to work, including some problems that I was seeing are fixed. When I go to the Admin page, I get the logon page. I enter the username and password that I placed in the zp-config.php file and press Log in. I am returned to the login page with the fields blanked out. What have I done wrong? Help, locked out of Admin page - sbillard - 2007-06-01 Interesting new data. I tried to change my Admin password for the 1.0.2b version. I did this by editing the config.php file (which is the name in the 1.0.2b version) and uploading it. Having done that I got the same locked out of the Admin page problem. Other note: although the install script on my ISP server states that the version is 1.0.2b, the Admin page says 1.0.1 beta. Help, locked out of Admin page - Chilifrei64 - 2007-06-01 make sure you are using the admin usernaem and password and not the database username and password. Help, locked out of Admin page - sbillard - 2007-06-01 Problem Resolved: However, the resolution was not smooth. First, I decided to try setting up a second installation of Zenphoto so I could do a clean install of the 1.0.8 version. First step: create a new database on my ISP server. Bam. Just creating the database killed the installed photo album. Oh, well, I was going to do a clean install for a test, now the test would be "live". I cleaned everything out, dropped the database(s), set up a new database, copied all the appropriate files. Tried to run the setup.php script. No dice. Had the login problem(s) described above. So, I went into my browser cookies and found the ones the album placed there. Deleted them and ran setup.php again. This time I was able to log in. All is well now. There may still be a problem with trying to change the Admin user and/or password. I haven't tried that on the 1.0.8 version. I have also not tried adding a new database on my server--that was too sever a problem, don't want to experience that again. |
