help with editing .htaccess during installation - jaywatson - 2007-06-22 I feel like I installed correctly and configured the zp-config.php file correctly. I know I set the permissions correctly on my images. They are in this file path: I set up a mysql database for zen photo, but after install and config I only get a page of code & text when I go to the set up url in the install directions that reads: Also, nothing has been installed or written into the mysql database for zenphoto. I assume this happens automatically once the install is done correctly. My guess is the .htaccess file was set wrong. I edited my .htaccess file that is in this path: Below is the what I have showing at the top of that file:htaccess file for zenphotoNOTE: Change the RewriteBase below to the absolute path to your zenphoto directory.RewriteEngine On !!! Change this to the web path (eg: http://www.example.com/photos) !!!RewriteBase /gallery Could someone please advise or give additional tips. I am trying hard and learning new things, but the directions to all these plug-ins are not really spelled out for newbies like me. Thanks so much, Jay W help with editing .htaccess during installation - jaywatson - 2007-06-22 I no longer am having this problem anymore. Nothing was showing up in my admin or setup. I called Earthlink to double check to see if my server was supporting php4 and they made some changes that allowed the php files in zenphoto to be visible. Now I can log into my zenphoto admin page and hit Go. Now I am having a problem that my setup is not installing tables into the database I set up for zenphoto. Problem posted here:
