"RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - Cini - 2007-12-23 Dear Friends First of all, I love the ZP setup, design, the look of it and everything. I can upload pictures, the info. tags in the photo is there, it goes into the right file on the server etc. etc. I use VISTA. My ISP is www.one.com (they use safe mode!) My site is located at http://www.svinetsdisciple.com My friend got one of my pictures, normal size .jpg whit large .JPG in the end (dont now why its large), and the same problem on his server, so is it the pictures, but why..?? Please Please help me to become a happy user Merry Christmas to all of you out there :O) Cini "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - sbillard - 2007-12-23 Most probably something to do with the metadata in the picture. Can you submit a ticket for this problem and attach one of the photos that do not work. "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - Cini - 2007-12-23 sbillard, thank you for your help. Please tell me how I attach a "ticket" and where I attach a photo..do you have a link? Thanks. "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - Cini - 2007-12-23 Sorry, deleted this as it was messing up the forum output. You probably don't need to post the album.php code anyway. -slb "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - Per - 2007-12-23 Hi, i have the same problem, everything is going fine while uploading the images, it dosn't display any errors. Thx in advance "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - acrylian - 2007-12-23 You have to create tickets here: http://www.zenphoto.org/trac/report/1 "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - Cini - 2007-12-23 Done..it's there.. I REALLY look forward to see what you will find out.. Thanks "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - Per - 2007-12-23 Thx for the link/help acrylian. "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - sbillard - 2007-12-23 There is not a max size per-se. However there are memory limits on PHP programs, so I imagine that you could have a picture that was too large. I would expect a cgi error, though, saying that a memory allocation limit was exceeded. Also, as a rule of thumb, pictures viewed on the web don't need to be much larger thatn 1000x800 pixels for most uses. Resizing large pictures does take server resources, so unless you otherwise need the pictures to be full sized, I recommend you resize them before uploading. Mine are all 800x600. "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - acrylian - 2007-12-23 The memory limits sbillard speaks of is part of your server configuration. It depends on you webhost if you can raise the memory or not. "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - Cini - 2007-12-23 Ciao Im all red in the head, I mean, that was a problem just laying right in front of me, so so so simple and yet, so not a thought..soooryyy ;O) Please close this topic if you will.. I will now relax and love this zenphoto heaven until...forever (now I just need to find a program that can scale my 300 pictures down to around 800x600 pixels in 2 minuttes Help is welcome Happy Holidays, keep it up Timm "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - Per - 2007-12-23 Okay, well i think that it's because my pictures have been to large, so i will have to resize them when uploading. "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - Cini - 2007-12-23 THANKS "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - aitf311 - 2007-12-23 Try Batch Image Now for resizing: http://www.acezip.net/ "RED X" No thumbs or Pictures on display - sbillard - 2007-12-23 Cini: If you use Windows, I recomment you look into Qimage.
