It seems that zenphoto can't support Chinese.
There are so many "?????"

Could you specify that? Are the characters not working? Since none of us is chinese it is not that easy to really test that.
Could you please send a link so that we could see how it looks like?

Or do you mean translating? Internationalization is in the works for 1.2. You could vote for that feature in our poll on www.zenphoto.org/category/News

Using the nightly builds, chinese characters are displayed correctly.

just download zenphoto nightly version (at http://www.zenphoto.org/files/nightly/) and then install it like you would install the 'normal' version. I'm using one, and it works for me.

had the same problem initially too, searched the forums and found this discussion (http://www.zenphoto.org/support/topic.php?id=1949&replies=3), if that's any help to the developers. :) chinese characters were displayed correctly before v1.3.3, somehow it went wonky after the upgrade.

建立utf-8字符集的数据库。
或者在创建了数据库之后（还没有建立table之前）把数据库的字符集整理改成 utf8_general_ci 格式，然后再进行zenphoto的安装就可以支持中文输入和显示了。

我建的是UTF8-unicode,不知道和general有什么区别。好象默认的是GBK，确实不能显示中文，我现在可以显示中文，但是我的achieve里面的月份始终无法显示，还是乱码，不知道怎么回事。
