1.2.2 Charset - olihar - 2008-12-03 I just gave 1.2.2 a try last night and I am still having the same problems with Icelandic characters. I still get
1.2.2 Charset - olihar - 2008-12-08 is this still being worked on or is it supposed to be fixed in the 1.2.2? 1.2.2 Charset - acrylian - 2008-12-08 I believe we did not work on that recently, there were a few other things to fix. If there already isn't please open a ticket. 1.2.2 Charset - olihar - 2008-12-10 Yeah I have been having problems with this since, hmm.. well dont really know... I am using zenphoto version 1.0.8 on my own site.. and zenphoto version 1.1.3 for few others... they all have a working charset with Icelandic letters. So... this problem has been for a very long time and I have talked about it many times, and never really gotten answers if this will be fixed... I can gladly give you a photo that has these characters to try out. As for a long time ZenPhoto has been unusable to me, because of this problem... I know charsets are a pain in the b*** and I have never understood why companies could not just settle for 1... that is UTF-8 I am hoping for a fix soon, as I am myself completely empty on the matter as it is now. 1.2.2 Charset - acrylian - 2008-12-10 Sorry for this inconvenience but. I am myself absolutly not an expert on this encoding stuff and just glad that my German umlauts do work properly. We believe we did a lot improvements before the last release. But if there is still a issue we of course will try to look after it. Please open a ticket and attach a photo with icelandic chars to it (maybe as a .zip) and maybe even with EXIF data in icelandic. We will try to reproduce the problem then. 1.2.2 Charset - sbillard - 2008-12-10 If these problems are in EXIF data, the current nightly build may be the solution. There you can set the internal character set assumed for EXIF data. 1.2.2 Charset - bitterfly - 2008-12-12 Hello. 1.2.2 Charset - sbillard - 2008-12-13 This would be an indicateion that the information in your database is not stored in UTF-8. 1.2.2 Charset - olihar - 2008-12-14
Ahhhhhh... There we go... just gave it a quick test and it works like a charm... Thanks Sbillard... Evan at UTF-8 it works like a charm....Smiling in a circle here. |
