Adding text description to Image - fleur - 2009-10-07
Can anyone please advise if I can add a seperate text description of each image - ideally to be displayed underneath each of the images in the album. I notice there is an image description for each image in the admin section when adding images but this does not seem to be displayed anywhere and need more than the title showing as hover. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

In all standard themes the image description is shown if available. So you are probably not using one of those. Please read our theming tutorial and/or see our function documentation for "imagedesc".

I visited your site. This is not a standard theme. Sorry, you will have to figure out yourself if and how it is possible to pass the image description to a highslide popup as I don't know that. (You surely know that highslide is not free for commercial use: http://highslide.com/#licence).

No I didn't know that - I am just starting out after graduating. Which of the standard themes are free for commercial use? Thanks for your help.

It's actually just the highslide javascript that is not free, the rest of the theme is. For sure all of the included official themes can be used commericially as well except the Stopdesign theme. For third party themes you have to see comments of the theme itself.
I will add a comment to the highslides theme on our themes page.
