Newbie: big photo + thumbnails with JS image swap - jhodes - 2009-10-03 Hi all, I'm a newbie looking to do something that looks very similar to the example here, embedded in a Wordpress site: http://www.maxsher.com/kronstadt/Max_Sher_Kronstadt_005.jpg.php There's a single large image with caption, then below there's thumbnails of the other images in the gallery. The thumbnails appear to be operated with a jQuery Carousel.
Thanks in advance, Newbie: big photo + thumbnails with JS image swap - acrylian - 2009-10-03 That example site is completly run by Zenphoto and it's CMS plugin Zenpage using a custom made theme.
You can't directly insert Zenphoto into a Wordpress page. All methodes of integration are described here: Zenphoto is actually a standalone Gallery CMS and is also able to run an entire gallery focussed site with the already mentioned Zenpage plugin. Take a look. Maybe that fits your needs, too. Newbie: big photo + thumbnails with JS image swap - jhodes - 2009-10-03 Thanks acrylian, this is really helpful. I'll dig a little deeper into ZenPhoto functions, and the CMS functionality, and consider my options. Re 3): I'm confused, I though the point of the ZenPhotoPress plugin was to be able to embed images (and galleries?) into a WP post or page? As outlined here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/zenphotopress/faq/ Thanks again for your help. Newbie: big photo + thumbnails with JS image swap - acrylian - 2009-10-03 Re 3) Well, seems that I answered to the first version of your post where you asked about inserting Zenphoto itself into a page. What I meant is that Zenphotopress lets you insert images and such as described but within posts or pages not as real gallery pages ifself as Zenphoto uses them. |
