Only some thumbnails are being generated.. - DavidMatthewson - 2009-10-21

Hi
I have a problem with my new site at http://minic.lymden-lodge.com as only some of the thumbnails are being generated.

I can't see any pattern to this, regardless of if I use the builtin HTM uploader or Filezilla. Interestingly, the full size image IS available, but not the thumbs.

I've changed themes and the results are consistent.

I'm using zenphoto version 1.2.1 [2635] and all the images are jpegs - although from different cameras.

Where would you suggest I start looking?

TiA

David

As always please read the troubleshooting guide. Updating might be a good idea, too.

Doh!
OK, I had looked at the trouble shooter but had got mixed up by zenpage instead of zenphoto. As it says, it's probably a memory issue. I'll debug & revert.

Operator error!

Thanks!

OK, I've done some more digging...

The files which only display as 'full size' ones (ie no thumbnails nor basic library pics, are, interestingly, all small - 32k or so - 640x480 pixels and are quite old. They were produced on a generation 1' digital camera and although true jpegs 9as far as I can tell), may have some 'problem'.

If I batch convert them to jpegs in Irfan and reupload them they work fine.

So problem solved!

Thanks

David

Corrupt meta data (EXIF/IPTC) might have been the reason.
