the pages for the website that i recently put together display just fine in firefox, but fail to work in ie 9 and chrome. any ideas what could be causing that or a hack to fix it? for reference the website is http://www.blackwidowtechnology.com/zen

actually second that, i didnt publish the pages....... figured that out pretty quick, confused me because i was logged in as admin, however for some reason the news does not dispay in ie

It is standard behaviour that unpublished/protected items are shown for the loggedin full admin or users with the appropiate rights.

No problem, it can be confusing at times but is a quite useful feature for admins.
