1st, sorry for my bad english.
2nd, this topic is not a request, it is not an offer too.
It is just to inform you that I am currently developing a slideshow (in Javascript) of an album that can be embedded in posts of a wordpress blog.

What has been made:

  • caslideshow: a javascript file and a css file
  • zenphoto:
    • my own theme + a slideshow.php file
    • modify the i.php file (added some lines for the thumbs)
  • wordpress : a plugin (looks like zenpress 1.0 plugin) to add a slideshow in the post by adding [CAS]name_of_album[/CAS]

You can see here my blog with some slideshows: http://jepnoid . free . fr/japon
you can also see it in the zenphoto gallery: http://jepnoid . free . fr/japon/photos (choose 'diaporama' (the french word of slideshow! ) after selecting an album)

I am currently debugging/developping the slideshow. Thus, there are a features that are not implemented yet and still some bugs:

  • finish debugging the scroller (position of the cursor)
  • when clicking on a slide, pause the slideshow, open the image in a new window in high resolution (with comments?). When closing this window, resume the slideshow
  • open a full screen page for the slideshow in high resolution.
  • let the user modify the framerate
  • debug the fade transition
  • find a "MAC" tester!

I cannot build a package now because it is not stable enough.

But IF you are able to develop/debug in Javascript+PHP(+SQL+CSS) and IF you are interested to modify the source code for you and for the community, then let me know. I can send some zip file with the sourcecode/theme so you can implement what you want.

IF you are interested in USING it for personnal use in the future, please, do not hesitate to send me suggestions/report problems that are not listed in this post.

And finally, I would like to thank the people involved in the development of zenphoto, zenpress (especially Dean!) etc.

Jep Noid
