I was getting error messages that I really needed to upgrade my website due to changes in the mysqli database. I couldn't get rid of the nagging error message, so OK, I upgraded.

Now I don't have a website at all. After dealing with multiple error messages, I tried starting completely over (including a new database) but now setup just hangs saying there's an attempt at cross site reference forgery has been blocked.

I'm really not a happy camper. I don't even know where to start. I may go back to an old version, maybe 1.4.2

I completely deleted zp-core and installed it all new instead of installing over. Was able to finish setup, even though I did get the "cross-site" error once, I just hit the back-button and somehow got out of it.

The "setup loop" was a known bug in 1.4.4.2 and widely discussed on a issue ticket and the forum as well.

"cross site" errors are a security measure so no one can access the backend without being allowed. It also can happen if you try to access a admin sub page directly even if logged in correctly.
