I want to add a "Help me", button on the div "main-menu" of my ZP home page and then this will fire some js accordion with help to users of my ZP on how to create albums and upload etc.

Should this be a plugin or what are the options? I do not really want tochange code everytime with a newer ZP version.

I think this will be quite a nice general feature to add more buttons that can fire some custom stuff.

What do you think and what would be to most elegant way to do this?

What div "main-menu" are you referring to where? If you mean on your theme do whatever you like. On custom themes you always have to maintain yourself anyway.

Aah, this is part of the theme. I'm using zpArdoise. I'll ask this to the dev of this theme then.

That is why you always should mention the theme used… I have changed the topic title so it is clear.

as told by mail to twoflower, to add a new menu item (like "help" page), you can add a new page (of course, with zenpage plugin enabled).
then you can add some text in the page and some php or js code in codeblock.
that is what I did with my portfolio page, that uses masonry js code.
