Just started out with your software, and have been trying for a couple of days to accomplish two things:

1. Create a slideshow of images to show on the album page.
2. Create a slideshow of images to show on a page above the directory in which I have installed zenphoto.

Can't find any documentation or forum posts about this. How can these two things be done?

Two options:

a) place the function printSlidesShow() where you wish the slideshow to appear with the parameters as needed. Requires theme customisation.

b) use a content macro (documentated on the user guide in general and on the slideshow documentation) within the description of the album.

The only way to get lastest images is to create a dynamic album for the latest images and use that via the slideshow function parameters:

another way to print lastest images is to use printImageStatistic() function.

Yes, but he specifially asked for a "slideshow of recent images". That is not possible except using a dynamic album or doing manual coding.

I'm a photographer, not a programmer, so writing a plugin or a theme is out of my range of abilities, and I'm too old to go back to school to learn how to program just to have a little slideshow.

Now that mobile devices are so popular, have you created one of your widgets that accomodate them to swipe individual photos instead of entire pages like modern popular sites? I found one that slides, pages, but not just the photos. I'm sure it has to be around here someplace, but I haven't been able to find it. Is it a plugin or part of one of your themes?

The slideshow2 plugin in 1.4.6 RC2 is capable of that but as always you have to modify your theme. Also you will possibly loose the linkablility of the individual images.

Sorry not always that easy especially of there should be more than just the images like descriptions etc and that in a specific layout. We can't provide everything sadly.
