did anyone thought about two possible ways to improve the image management:

1. Zenphoto plugin for Picasa (I mean of course the desktop programm)
2. standalone Zenphoto desktop OS independent programm that would have mostly Picasa-like UI and features

If yes then I ask the people who have enough skills to create such plugin / programm - would it be a hard challenge?

I think Picasa is still the best desktop picture organizer and its only disadvantage is that a direct connection with Zenphoto is missing.

In such plg/prg I think such features / addons would be obligatory:

1. built-in ftp client to make uploads easy (possible default upload folder).
2. album creation - the albums like Picasa generates them would be uploaded as dynamic album files.
3. additionally to Picasa's "Make a caption" field an editable Title field would be useful (as ZP extracts also image titles).
4. sync between uploaded images and their originals in computer (included metadata sync).

What are people thinking about it?

Well, surely great ideas but unrealistic. At least you won't see any of this by us officially.
