i'm curious on why zenphoto is named zenphoto when it supports other formats like video and audio?

would it make more sense to name it like zen cms, zen media or just zen.

i'm asking this because i had passed up zenphoto several times because of the name, i thought its for photos only.

Yes, that probably a lot of people think sadly. It originally was made for photos/images only and then has been extended. Since it is quite known in its niche already we chose not to rename it. Never change an already known "brand name" unless your really must. On social networks we use "ZenphotoCMS"). Besides some of the other names are already taken if I recall right.

For that reason we use the claim the "The simpler media website CMS" additionally and feature its capabilities for multimedia, blog and pages right on the front page.
