First I'm a beginner(looser) in php, but understand the basic computer. I'm french so sorry for my rusty english.
The PROB: chmod can be applied througt my ftp soft (mac, transmit&cyberduck)
so lot of bug in strat page.

This is something you will have to take up with your Internet Service Provider. Zenphoto will not function properly if the chdir() function is not working. The error message you get indicates that your service provider has choosen to disable this function.
