Fixed by going to options -> general and changing Date and Time formatting options from "custom" to something standard.

My gallery was on a very old 1.5 version of ZP, I upgraded in-place to 1.6.4 which I later learned was not recommended.

So I am ironing out painful bugs still.

No that is not a bug, its deprecated formats as there were changes. Documented on the release posts in general.
