Hi,

This might be more a 'php' question, so pointers in that regard would not be dismissed, but is there an easy way to reference a thumbnail from a non-zenphoto powered site?

I have a textpattern blog, but would like to use the thumbnails in posts to link back to the albums in zenphoto.

I am not a php-savvy person (yet), but cannot see how to use the php that generates the thumb outside of zenphoto. Is it possible? I am sure that I have seen it on trisweb.com, but that might be a wordpress plugin?

Any thoughts appreciated!

your correct, it's a wordpress plugin. a textpattern plug-in is not realised and i think it's not getting published soon as most of the zenphoto users use wordpress with the zenphoto plugin.

but you can link the thumbnails generated by zenphoto to the picture in the album (include the thumbnail generated by zenphoto in the /cache folder into your post and make an link to the album/picture .

e.g.(used the trisweb demo gallery, first picture):

thumbnail image: http://www.zenphoto.org/zenphoto/cache/impressionists/monet%20-%20Le%20Promenade.jpg_100_cw85_ch85.jpg

link to: http://www.zenphoto.org/zenphoto/impressionists/monet+-+Le+Promenade.jpg.php

its not an handy dandy solution but hey it's the best i can come up with.

Thanks wouterg - can't believe I didn't think of that one myself! Always trying to make things too complicated, now to see if I can automate it a little...
