Hi!

Is there any way to protect ones pictures?
On www.studivz.net they lay a 1x1 transparent .gif (spacer.gif) over every picture via script, so you can't save it easily. can you do this?
and if you klick on a picture to make it bigger, can you build in an option that opens klicked pictures in a seperate pop-up window that has the size of the picture (at best also with the protection .gif).

this would be a great and necessary improvement.

greets,
tim (pH0u57)

None of the solution you mentioned does really protect pictures. The only way to really protect pictures is to not put them on the internet.

Since you are apparently german, take a look here why that is so (older but still true):
http://forum.de.selfhtml.org/archiv/2003/1/t35907/
http://www.web-toolbox.net/webtoolbox/bilder/09-save-protekt/save-protekt.htm

If you want the image in a popup window (which is a very outdated technique, by the way, better use lightbox) then you can easily find dozens of solutions via google with "javascript popup".
