In the administration pages :

options>charset>definition : You should put the alternative value in the definition (it could be usefull for other feed too)

edit>images>"picture properties">iptc values : for non-US users, "State" can be a bit confusing. Prefere "Province/State", or "Sublocation"

edit>images>"picture properties">iptc values : what is the IPTC value that is used to initialize the "location" feed ?

The IPTC "location" field is what is used for "location"

We just used the names of the IPTC tags. Are they different in internationalized IPTC?

You're right, this tag exist in IPTC standard. But, as Picasa doesn't read it, I dropped it from my templates

Picasa doesnt support any of the good stuff!
