Mediatemple disabling 'allow_url_fopen' in PHP settings

Does anyone know if ZenPhoto uses the 'allow_url_fopen' in any of the PHP? MediaTemple is disabling this option in their GridServers. Thanks.

Updates from the database or updates to the version of zenphoto?

New versions of zenphoto. In admin, click on "check for updates". When your ISP disables the option, you will get a message saying zenphoto connect to the site.
