Hiya,

Sometimes when I upload an image, it's fine and if you right-click on the thumbnail and view 'Properties' you get:
http://www.acta.f2s.com/gallery/cache/acta/aeroplanes-sky.jpg_100_cw85_ch85.jpg

However, some photos, seem to upload fine, (I can see them using FTP) but on the site all you can see is the alt tag.
The Properties of these files displays:
http://www.acta.f2s.com/gallery/acta/image/thumb/noone.jpg

I wonder if it's something about the file - as some photos are fine, and some just won't work... when I've come across a troublesome jpg I've resaved under a new name etc, but it just still won't work... could there be something about the file format making this happen? Or is it a zenphoto/application/upload issue?

Help! Thanks!

Are there any special characters in your file names that don't display?

I visited your site. All the images there (now) are showing. Can you post a link to an example of it failing?

Hi, Sorry for the late reply - would be great if you could still look in to this...

Just uploaded one of the photos (as it came, on the disc from the photographer) and it doesn't show:
http://www.acta.f2s.com/gallery/all-young-once/page/6/
(The last image in this gallery)

The others are now being saved and uploaded as 'Save For Web' and this seems to be ok. But I'm just still really curious about what it is about that certain type of jpg that won't show... as it takes a while to resave everything rather than just use them off the disc.

In the admin section, the thumbnails for the ones that work have the properties of:
http://www.acta.f2s.com/gallery/cache/all-young-once/AYO11.jpg_100_cw85_ch85.jpg

However the one that doesn't work is:
http://www.acta.f2s.com/gallery/all-young-once/image/thumb/AllYoungOnce1.jpg

Thanks!

You can look at the actual error by going here:

http://www.acta.f2s.com/gallery/all-young-once/image/500/AllYoungOnce1.jpg

Looks like the JPEG file is corrupt. Even if you can see it on your computer it may still be corrupt. You can try resizing it on your computer and re-uploading it, that might do the trick.

Hmm - ok thanks. Like I say, resaving it helped.

Wonder what's wrong with the disc then?! Oh well - thanks!
