Hi Everyone!

Just a quick question here...

In my gallery have two primary folders Featured Artist and General Gallery. I created them at the server level as such . In the url they come up like this...

zenphoto/General%20Gallery/

I want them to come up like this...

zenphoto/general-gallery/

I know that if I change General Gallery to general-gallery in the folder on my server that the url will change - however it resets all of the content within and I lose all of the image info that I've added.

Is there a way around this?

I also have another post in the forum regarding converting my search bar into a google search engine if anyone can help with that!

I don't take this forum for granted at all and I promise that if ever I attain a working knowledge of things in this town I'll be on the answering side of life.

Thanks!

From the early days of HTML under Unix, folders & files shouldn't have spaces. Today's browsers are forgiving, luckily! I have changed names quite a bit using my FTP application. Cleared cache in browser & ZP, think I cleared databases too. Worked okay for me, and I'm quite new to ZP.

The directory name is not the same as the Gallery or Album name. My directories are all without spaces: subdirectoy/folder on my server is 1997Boston,. But the Album name is 1997 Boston & NYC that I changed in ZP. is that what you mean?

PS: The developers are great but allow for time zone differences. They are good at replying but probably busy too. Doing nightly builds is awsome as it means ZP is always being fixed or tweaked between upgrades.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, basically what I mean is that I've been pretty lazy when it comes to naming the content that I upload through Zenphoto admin of ftp. I renamed everything in my album and galleries but now I want to change the server name of one of my main folders - but hopefully without losing the changes I've made at gallery album level!

Thanks again!

I've never used ZP's FTP as I like getting all my photos uploaded at once.
