hello
i just upgraded to 1.1.5 because i wanted to make sure that when i want cruft free urls that i have the newest release.
my problem is that i ran the setup.php and it told me that i needed to edit my .htaccess file. I then ticked the mod_rewrite option box and then I ran the setup.php again. nothing changed. in your troubleshooting it seems like it edits the .htaccess file automatically. i couldn't really come up with a way to solve this problem. am i being blind?
