Hi All!
I have a question regarding search engine optimization and Zenphoto...
You can view my site here.
As always, thank you in advance!
Sure, I got that about renaming the example_robots.txt - am I wrong to understand that it is meant to prevent rather than prompt robots?
Also, as I include a photo in my gallery should I be entering any data into any field other than title? I mean, would that help me with Google? I generally never enter image description or custom data. Would that help?
Thanks!
P
Sorry, just one more thought...
Does it make a difference how I name the jpg?
Are the following all the same as far as google is concerned?
pictureofdog.jpg
picture-of-dog.jpg
Picture of dog.jpg
I'm more inclined to used the latter as it means I won't have to change anything within Zenphoto. It come up as http://phauxshow.com/gallery/Picture+of+dog.jpg.php in the URL
I know that's a lot of questions! The good news is that I'm running out of things to ask!
Thanks!

No, absolute correct. I just mentioned it.
I am by no means a SEO expert and most of the time I feel the importancce a little too hyped (I am google so I am?...:-)), but indeed your images don't show up.
I believe google liks "picture-of-dog.jpg" more than "Picture of dog.jpg". And it may help to enter meta tags in the head of your theme files, too.
Maybe this I just foud by accident may be of help: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/the-web-developers-seo-cheat-sheet
