What package is being used here for this forum? I'd love to use this on my website as well. Would you recommend against it? Would you recommend another package?

It's ok, we see no reason to change.

i would use punbb instead of bbpress..
punbb is about 45% faster and look cleaner..

http://punbb.org and it is very easier to style and very simpler to integrate with WP.

Okay so I looked at punbb, and to be honest, I like the way bbpress looks just because of the simplicity of this theme ... is this a custom theme you are using here sbillard?

I think this is the standard theme.
