I'm curious how to tell when a theme has been updated.
I use a modified version of Effervesence (I remove a couple of things to make it a 'minimalistic' simpleviewer theme)
I can tell that there have been a few changes (in Effervesence) but the version number and release date seems to remain the same (version 1.0 11/12/2007)
I'm sure I'm missing it, but I'd love to know when changes have been made to themes.
Thanks again.

I guess we are somewhat remiss at updating those version numbers. Your best bet is to get yourself a good file comparison program and compare the version you made your changes from with the one you are considering. Not only will that tell you if it has changed, but it will also tell you where the changes were made.

Is there a program you'd recommend? - Preferably, one with a short learning curve?

If you are running on a PC I recommend "Beyond Compare" http://www.scootersoftware.com/

On a Mac, BBEdit does compare too. It also is used as an editor for HTML, PHP, CSS and such pages.

Thanks, both of you - I'm on a Mac - I'll check out BBEdit

If you don't want to spend money on that, try the little brother of BBedit, TextWrangler, that is free and has a compare function, too.
