Okay, so I love Zenphoto because it does all of the work for me, but as a Photography guy and a Design/Photoshop guy, sometimes the quality of the photos leaves me a little wanting. Now, I've already bumped the "quality" setting up to 100%, but I'm interested if the software on the server side is able to do a sharpen on the photos? And if so, how might I go about applying that to all of my photos through zenphoto?

Is that possible?

It is there right in the Admin.

Options/Image Display and item nr. 5. is says sharpen: and you can pick Thumbs or/and Images.

I have found through some testing it is far better to do the sharpening yourself, in Lightroom, Photoshop or any other similar program.

Both quality wise and server load.

1 example about sharpening online is Flickr. All images uploaded are sharpened, and in many cases they turn out pretty bad.

I'm OK with Olihar, as there are no way to manage the quantity/quality of sharpening under ZenPhoto, you should manage this under Photoshop or Lightroom as usual.

Maybe this will become a future possibility of ZenPhoto ?

Hmmm, yes... Sorry I didn't notice that before... I don't want to contribute to feature bloat, but it might be nice to be able to mess with the settings similar to this program.

Actually there is a unsharp mask already within zp-core/functions-image.php around line 117. Although not recommend to hack the core you could experiment with changing the values of course.

Also you could open a ticket for the request of sharpening settings.
