Just started learning ZenPhoto and ZenPage, and would like to install it on my server. The question is this: if I install it in some subfolder (say, www.phototramp.com/zen), what happens with index.html residing in www.phototramp.com/?

Is there an easy way of redirecting www.phototramp.com URL to ZenPage (or ZenPhoto) index page?

A related question: is there any use or advantage of installing ZenPhoto/ZenPage in the server root folder (rather than in e.g. /zen subfolder). Many thanks!

   You can install Zenphoto in a subdirectory. Your index.php in www.phototramp.com will not be touched.(your webpath will be: www.phototramp.com/zenphoto)

   No. Just a cleaner web URL.

If you only want to use Zenphoto with Zenpage there is no need to install it in a subfolder. It works fine from the root.
