Hello!

Is it possible/how can I move the zen photo directory?

For instance, I have a gallery running in "mysite.com/photos/" but I want to rename the directory to "mysite.com/something"

What do I have to change in Zen Photo to make this possible?

Thanks

Rename the folder then run the setup program.

Will this not overwrite all the data such as image descriptions and things?

All this does is change the root folder for your gallery.

I ran setup.php and it seemed happy. At the bottom I had a login box, so I llogged in, but thne got returned to the same page.

When logging into the admin section, I also get returned to the login page again.

Perhaps I could rename both the old gallery folder and the new one to something completly different. Install a fresh zen photo, then simply rename the new gallery so it overwrites the freshly installed one, so it would then connect to the new database?

Or then would the backup/restore feature work? Perhaps though this would just cause the same error as above.

Did you change the version of zenphoto at the same time? If so, you will need the nightly build.

The version I uploaded and customised was: define 1.2.2 (2983).
This is the same with the setup file I uploaded to renew the directory.

I will probably be better off just starting again and closing the site for a few hours.

The reason I asked is that there is a bug in 1.2.2 that occurs if you install an updated revision while you are logged out. It gives the symptoms you describe. But it should not happen if the revision did not change, so is probably not the problem you are seeing. Still you might want to install the nightly build and see if the problem gets fixed.

I'll give it a go
One way or another, the software is worth it for this little bit of hassle It's a fairly unusual task to complete anyway Good post for reference though!
