I installed the 1.2.3 version of zp and when i try to create a submenu i get an error:

"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /zptest3/zp-core/admin-edit.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. "

The permissions are correct; i try renaming the .htaccess; I downloaded and installed it again and the issue persist.

Any ideas?

Yes, you do not have execute permissions on the folders where the zenphoto scripts are stored. You will need to set these permissions by FTP or ask your service provider for help.

The permissions are setted correctly (i think), 777 cache and albums, 755 other directories and 644 files.
Are you sure is not a bug of v1.2.3?

If i do that i receive a 500 Internal Server Error with every zenphoto file (included frontend and backend).
I used zenphoto before and it never happen to me with other versions...

Check your syntax in how you are doing this. 0777 is an octal number. If you entered a decimal one things will not be good. Also you can try changing the permissions through an FTP program. Basically you want allow everything as the setting.

Yes, I did it using filezilla

You may have to set the permissions on each script. You are getting this error because of file permissions. You will have to figure out where they have gone wrong.
