This is a great plug-in, and a feature I think we would all like. Any chance of this code being extended so those of us not using WP can take advantage of it?

Hi,

are there any caching issues that i need to be aware of when changing from using the showpost function to the random function?

I ask because i've cleared out my browser cache and cookies for my site, but the random function does not display, and it keeps showing the showpost function even when I've replaced it with random function!

Have got the plugin working alright now, so previous post can be ignored. Something strange going on with my browser caching.

I've noticed that when using the random function to show 4 images, sometimes it displays 4 images and othertimes it shows 3 images. This is what happens in Firefox.

However, in IE 6 when it sometimes shows 3 images, the 4th image is not displayed - only the red X. I checked the image link url on the red x and it appears to be truncated. It ends like this: "....?album=nameofalbum&image="

I have an even number of photos in my photo gallery, so I know that isn't the cause of it showing 3 instead of 4 photos.

Can anyone help with this problem?

GameDudeX,

when I click on the empty space with red x it takes me to a page with an error message. You can see it here at http://www.fruity2t.com/huaying. Refresh the browser a couple of times until you see an empty image with red x.

it looks as if there is an invalid reference in your sql table

the link that it is linking to is missing an image name.

Check your images table and check the record with the ID of 7 and see if that references an actual image. if it does not.. (and I am not sql expert) delete it. I just tested and deleted a image records in on of my galleries and it just recreated the record if it was valid.

Hi Chilifrei64,

thanks for the reply. I checked out the sql table and there was no information, just the picture ID! So i deleted it from the table.

I tested out deleting a picture in zenphoto admin, and it appears to be deleted as an entry in the sql table too.

So, not sure how I managed to get a redundant entry in the sql table in the first place....oh well nevermind.

Thanks for the help though!
