First, so far I love zenphoto, I tried gallery2 as well but like zen for it's smal size / fast operation.

But, when i try to make use of mod_rewrite by placing the htaccess file with my root filled in and set value to true, things break down.

  1. As root I use: zen.stefs.nl
  2. I set function in config.php to "true" (right now set to false, to make things work)

When I do so, I do see the theme with album names but no thumbs and clicking on the name results in a error page of my webhost.

Do I miss something?

ps I must say that I haven't been able to succesfully use htaccess with G2 and Snews either...

thanks
Stef

Anyone?

Update: I've mailed my host, they have commented the rewritebase rule, so it looks like #RewriteBase /zen.stefs.nl/

That did the trick for my albums working with mod_rewrite on, I can now open all albums. But they show no images anywhere and I get an error when opening the final images --> see http://zen.stefs.nl

Can anyone please help!

copy your .htaccess file to the directory where you've installed zenphoto and NOT to directory where the / of your site begins.

ex.

i have installed zenphoto in /home/pravin/public_html/gallery and /home/pravin/public_html/ contains my wordpress installation.

I have copied the .htaccess to /home/pravin/public_html/galleryand not to /home/pravin/public_html/

My .htaccess file allready is in my zenphoto directory (zen.stefs.nl) and no .htaccess exists in my root or www.stefs.nl .....
