Skwid's done a great deal of cool work with the theme, can't wait to see the final slideshow changes.....

To answer #2, both Skwid and I did away with the archive.php because it wasn't absolutely essential. Since Zenphoto doesn't have "recent" albums functionality at the moment due to not having a robust date and time system (yet - and I know Tris is working on it) we thought it would be best to leave it off for now.
