What kind of error are you getting? If it is that the browser is timing out, you might want to reset the option for showing image thumbnails in the thumbnail selector drop-down.

Its not giving me any errors that i can see, all it's doing is acting like the nothing is loading when you want to go in the sub albums area. if i was to click on a link like this http://myserver/photos/zp-core/admin-edit.php?page=edit&album=Backgrounds&tab=subalbuminfo
Its not loading anything for it

Where is the thumbnail selector drop-down menu i haven't seen that option yet. i'm using Zenphoto version 1.2.6 [4335] (Official Build)

REgarding my link above: Zenphoto uses the same functions for displaying images on the theme and the backend and for both the server limitations apply.

The thumbnail selection sbillard refers to is at the bottom of each album edit page to manually select a thumbnail for an album. On the options there is an option (don't remember which tab right now) to disable showing the actual thumbs within this selector which can slow down if you have really a lot images.

I guess you probably need to check your server. Maybe you overloaded it?

The upload section will have nothing to do with the #of images. I suspect you are having some script error. Have you reviewed your CGI logs? Have you checked for Javascript errors?
