Just a feature request - not sure how hard this would be and if it would affect other functions such as breadcrumbs, normalize columns, pagination, etc:

It would be nice to have a function or extension to print a select box allowing the user to select the number of items (images, subalbums) to display per page. The selection would then be persistent throughout the users session. Any thoughts?

Looking at sbillards viewer_size_image extension, looks like this could be the base for a 'items per page' extension...
