I have to agree with sbillard. As far as I understood what you want that is all possible on the theme side without duplicating any album. Zenphoto is quite flexible themewise but not everything is possible "out of the box". Some special things require some custom coding. But that is probably always the case with all CMS out there.
You can set the theme to use manually. Since you can do all styling via CSS you could just change the CSS file to load depending on the album displayed. The default theme and the efferscence+ theme do basically the same for their different theme personalities. Of course this requires custom coding on the theme itself.

If I understood I use zenphoto as a plug in to display all my albums to the point where I want the site (on my part to design 4 different) and then I assign a theme (I have previously created 4 different themes) for each album that redirects to the good part of the site.
