I have been working on creating a new photo album on a new domain, in a new db and using a different album software. My questions is this, is there a way to extract the photos themselves out of zenPhoto? I have yet to find anything on these forums with info on how to do this nor through numerous Google searches.

ftp... the photos are stored in files in your albums folder. You should be able to pull them that way. Note though, your tags/comments/etc aren't embedded on your photos so you'll have to re-tag etc.
