I have a number of "movies" I've created. They've been saved in .wmv files. Is it true they can't be played in ZP?

Yes, that is true. The two flash video player plugins do only support .flv and .mp4. WMV is a very closed source file format that no one except Windows users can play conveniently as they would have to be played in the browser directly. Like Quicktime movies that won't work if Quicktime is not installed on the viewer's computer.

You could write a plugin that lets you use .wmv files (see the class-textobject.plugin) but generelly I would really suggest to use a general formt like .flv or .mp4. Or use the "Youtube trick" posted on our troubleshooting guide.

Actually, there are WMV codecs for MAC users as well. Just do a WEB search. In addition there are converter programs that can make the WMV file into some other format.

OK, I've downloaded a converter and am converting like mad.

Now, I need to be able to play between 5-10 minutes of video. Is that possible? I seem to recall something that said 2 minutes. I have no 2 minute videos.

There is a wmv coded for Quicktime which no normal user will have installed on a Mac as no normal Windows user will have Quicktime..;-)

None of our flash video players has any duration limit. The limit is the space the video takes on your server.
