Is there a way to set up an alert for users to receive an email when new photos are updated, for them to essentially subscribe to a folder? I'd also like to be able to sign up users to be alerted. Say I have a folder just for so-and-so user, I'd like them to be alerted via email that I added a new photo or photos to their folder. Is this possible? Could anybody do this?

There are filters foy new albums & images so you could create a plugin to do this. Alternatively, the users could subscribe to RSS feeds.

If anybody could make one that would be great. I feel it would be useful but I might be the only one, if that's the case then so be it. I am not a coder so I can't do it myself, but if anybody who can code feels this would be somewhat useful, then I and I'm sure others would appreciate it.

The big advantage of a subscription option is that a users' private/unpublished personal gallery folder that I have set up for my users isn't- or certainly shouldn't be- available via RSS as that would be an obvious case of poor judgement and giving them the ability/option to opt into receiving emails when their folder is uploaded to by an admin would be a nice plus. Both for the user and myself.

That's my case for a plugin/feature and hopefully someone will agree with me. If not, that's cool too, I'm not a coder so I can't do it myself and for that I apologize.
