I am new to ZenPhoto. I just made a website for a friend who is a filmmaker and wanted to show his work.
So I did use ZenPhoto which seemed to be the best choice.
But now my friend wants to post... text !

Maybe I did not read correctly the f*ck... manual but I did not find anything about that. It is not so shocking, maybe the goal of ZenPhoto is only to post images and do it well.

Have you an advice for me ("install WordPress!" is NOT what I mean :-D)

Do you mean something like a caption for each photo? Very easy. From the admin page click on the Albums tab, then click on the album you want to work on, then click on Images. Next to each image you will have a field that says "Description:" and a text editor.

You can also do this from the album editor to give the entire album a caption.

I am not sure what the text limit is, but I do believe this is intended for short descriptions. I could be wrong, and maybe your caption can flow on and on unhindered.

If what your friend is really after is lengthy posts with some images sprinkled in, then you might be better off... OK, I won't say it.

Or, if you mean a "Blog", then there is the zenpage extension that you can use. Currently of the distributed themes, only Effervescence+ and Zenpage actually support this plugin.

The description db field for images and albums is a "text" field so it is not limited to short descriptions only.
