I'm using the extended sitemap plugin and also added it manually to my webmasters account at Google. Google finds the sitemap, reads all the 900 links in it, but doesn't index them, except one: the link to the sitemap itself.

It's like this for some weeks. Do I have to be patient or is there a way to create a static sitemap?

The sitemap is static as it is actually cached. It of course changes if you change something..;-)

Google takes some time to reflect updates but I have no idea why it would not index them at all though.

That should work. I would contact Google if I was you.

Sometimes it takes a while for Google to index your site pages and links. If you still haven't had success, go to a popular website, post to their blog or forum, and include your link there, it might help.

I had one Web site where dispite submitting a sitemap, Google just wouldn't index it. Contacting Google is usually not an option - there customer service basically doesn't exist. They did eventually index all the pages.
It may have helped that I linked to the pages from my blog, not sure, but it sure took a long time

My site is over 6 months old and still Google has not indexed the links. Is this within the normal time frame for Google or is something wrong here? They seem to have indexed the pages, just not the links.
