Are you guys planning for ZP to use plugins in the future? I was just wondering because I only saw one post on the forums about it.

Definitely for the 2.0 branch, yes. That's way in the future though, and involves a lot of rewriting, including groups/tags/etc. Big plans

Uhh... no... 2.0 is it for now, and it's basically a bin for "Gee, this is gonna need some rewritin' of the code..." features. ;-)

There'll be a lot in-between, 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 at the very least are planned.

I'm looking forward for the support for third party plugins like how WordPress does it. I believe spending some time developing it will definitely speed up the whole development process of this project, also enable users themselves to create the feature they want (provided they have php knowledge) instead of waiting for developers to answer every single feature request in this forum.

I'll be a plugin developer when the API is done, and I know there's many others that will help making zenphoto better. btw, I'm haven't totally switch to zenphoto yet due to the current image moving limitation (losing meta data) and that subalbum isn't supported.
