Hello,

Can someone please tell me if it is possible to give a user onnly these rights:

  • upload photo's
  • edit profile
  • change titles / description of photo's uploaded by him (so not the other foto's

So what he can not do:

  • Create albums (!!!)
  • Delete any pictures (so also not his own pictures)

And, also i would like to adjust an album so that you can not upload something in the head album, but CAN upload something in all the subalbums of that album?

Thanks in advance!

J.

There is an upload right.

You can only assign specific album rights to a user for toplevel albums. This then applies for all sub albums and its images as well. These would be all his and he can do anything with them. Zenphoto does not have specific rights to subalbums and images.

A user can always edit his own profile.

We don't have a right for disallowing album creation although that is basically included in the upload right.

As always detailed info on the user guide:

The problem is that everybody can register on our site, and to keep it ordened i would like to disallow the normal user to create folders.

Isn't it possible to edit some files manually so they can not create maps anymore? It's really important...

If you give them edit rights to an album they have the right to make folders within it. So do not let them have edit rights.

Yes, i've noticed that.

BUT, that gives another problem: user can't add info to there recently uploaded picture?

So they can only upload it, but can not give the image a title or description???

Well, they certainly can give a title when they upload it. But not a description.

I suggest that image metadata would be the way to go. Then they can provide whatever metadata they want.

There simply is not any refinement of edit rights--you can either edit or not.
