I am completely new to ZP, and have just downloaded/installed ZP; looks really good, but...

I'm a newbie at this, and can't find the right "idiots guide" to getting started with customising ZenPhoto.

My particular needs are: to add a check box to every photo displayed, so viewers can check which photos they like, and finally click "submit" to have a list of "wanted" pictures sent to the website owner (a bit like a shopping cart I suppose).

Fairly simple stuff, but not sure where to start / how to develop features for ZP - please point me in the right direction??

You are really funny, I can assure you it is not a "done in five minutes" feature...

You should read the theming tutorial to understand how basic Zenphoto themes work first. After that you should read the tutorials for the object model, plugins and user rights as well. You find all these on our user guide (sic!).
