Hi,

I have an album with 50 Sub-Albums and each of the 50 have 10 Sub-Albums. These 50 all have the Default Thumbnail option set to Random. Is there any way that I can do a bulk edit/change to set the 50 and their subalbums to Most Recent rather than Random?

I am afraid, no. Except changing it in the database direclty.

Btw, I somehow thought we once changed the default to latest to avoid overhead.

EDIT: Forget what I said... Of course there is. On the admin overview page there is a button "reset albumthumbs".

Ah thanks acrylian, I was afraid you'd say that.

Is the database change simple that I can do in my database panel.

I know SQL and not afraid to do that.

It seems for me the default is random

Thanks

What happens to my other albums that I've already configured to use a specific image. I only want it for these 50 and their subs.

The global option of course resets ALL albums. If you want to reset indivigual ones you have to do that from the album's edit page.

Thanks.

How can I stop new albums that are created having this as the default option.

It's really slowing our site down having random images displayed.

Cheers

Use the second button of the utility to set the default. But note, Unless you select a specific image as the album thumb it is unlikely to change the performance. Each of the other options require fetching all the album images.
